Zenith Bank has paid total of dividend of N97.3B in 2021
Nigeria’s largest lender by market valuation, Zenith Bank Plc will pay a final dividend of N2.80K per share to investors amounting to a gross dividend totalling N87, 910,182,604.00 for the year ended December 31, 2021.
Zenith Bank shareholders also approved the re-election of Mr. Jim Ovia who has attained the age of 70 since the last AGM as a Non-Executive Director.
This was part of the resolution passed today at Zenith Bank Annual General Meeting, AGM held in Lagos.

“In accordance with the recommendations of the Directors, a final dividend of N2.80k per share amounting to a gross dividend of N87,910,182,604.00 (Eighty-Seven Billion, Nine Hundred & Ten Million, One Hundred and Eighty-Two Thousand, Six Hundred and Four Naira) out of the Profit After Tax for the year ended 31st December 2021 was declared; payable on pro-rata bases to the shareholders holding fully paid ordinary shares registered in the books of the bank at the close of business on the 25th day of March 2022.
“This brings the total dividend for the financial year ended Dec. 31, 2021, to N3.10k and a gross dividend of N97, 329,130,740.00 and the Directors were thereby authorised to give effect to the resolution,” Zenith Bank said in a notice of the resolutions sent to the Nigerian Exchange Group.
