Osinbajo’s helicopter crash caused by poor landing technique
On February 2, 2019, a chopper in which Nigeria’s Vice President Yemi Osinabjo crashed in Kogi State.
A report by Nigeria’s Accident Investigation Bureau, AIB has now revealed that the Osinbajo’s helicopter crash was caused by poor handling technique deployed by the pilot.
The report also blamed the flight’s crew over their failure to adhere to company procedures.
During the release of the report in Abuja on Tuesday, the Chief Executive Officer of the bureau, Akin Olateru also warned airlines to stop tampering with the recordings contained in Cockpit Voice Recorder in the event of a crash or serious incident.
