…Justice Obile struck out the suit against him
The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has had a sigh of relief after Justice Emmanuel Obile of the Federal High Court struck out an application filed by a governorship aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihiama seeking court injunction to bar him from contesting in the party primaries scheduled for Thursday.
Justice Obile, on Wednesday struck out the suit after all the parties in the matter agreed to resolve their grievances.
Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihiama, who is the main contestant seemingly opposing the Governor in PDP had asked for an out-of-court settlement in his suit to stop Governor Godwin Obaseki from participating in the primaries of the party.

It is almost certain then that the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki will take part in the primaries slated for Thursday, and possibly emerge as the PDP Governorship candidate.
