Villarreal on Thursday has announced former Arsenal coach, Unai Emery as their manager on a 3-year contract.
Emery who was sacked by English Premier League side Arsenal in November will take over from fellow dismissed Spaniard, Javi Calleja.
“Villarreal CF has reached an agreement with Unai Emery for the Basque manager to be Yellows head coach for the next three seasons,” the club said in a statement.

Emery who had a woeful career in England was a notable manager in Spain as he won three Europa League titles with Sevilla. He proceeded to French Ligue 1 to win five major titles with Paris Saint-Germaine.
The 48-year old apex record with Arsenal was playing at Europa League final against London rivals, Chelsea who thrashed the Gunners 4 – 1.
Villarreal will play European second-tier competition, Europa League next season as former coach Calleja secured they finished fifth on the log before his sack.
