Folake Ogundipe is one of only 3 female Directors on Unilever Nigeria board
Unilever Nigeria Plc has confirmed the appointment of Mrs Folake Ogundipe as an Executive Director of Unilever Nigeria Plc, making her one of only three female directors on Unilever Nigeria board.
The appointment takes effect from 1 April 2022.
Nigeria Today reports that Unilever Nigeria announced Mrs Ogundipe’s appointment in a notice to the Nigerian Exchange Group Limited on March 18, 2022.
“The Board warmly welcomes Mrs Folake Ogundipe and wishes her all the best in her new role,” Unilever Nigeria wrote in the notice signed by the company secretary, Mrs Abidemi Ademola.

Who is Folake Ogundipe?
Folake Ogundipe is a consummate finance professional with over 13 years of experience. Her finance career spans years of professional practice across several industries including banking, professional services, Oil and Energy, both locally and internationally.
Ogundipe holds a B.Sc degree in Accounting and Finance from Obafemi Awolowo University and an M.Sc degree in Business, Management and Marketing from the University of Leicester, UK.
She is a member of the prestigious, UK-based Chartered Institute of Management Accountants as well as a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.
Unilever Nigeria described Mrs Ogundipe in their notice as a highly effective financial executive with cognate experience in leading finance functions to deliver corporate objectives that maximize stakeholders’ value.

According to the multinational consumer goods company, Mrs Ogundipe, “possesses hands-on experience as Chief Finance Officer/Head of Finance with remarkable leadership skills and strong accounting capabilities including IFRS, and GAAP with proven knowledge of delivering end-to-end financial procedures, designing effective and efficient controls, improving regulatory compliance and reporting, and minimizing risks.”
