Umahi, NBA on collision course
The goddess of trouble may have fully embraced the embattled Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Umahi as he is also now on a collision course with Nigerian lawyers over a scathing remark on the judiciary after he was sacked by an Abuja High Court on Tuesday.
The Nigeria Bar Association has demanded an immediate apology from the embattled Governor of Ebonyi State after the governor claimed his removal by an Abuja High Court on Tuesday was an indictment on the judiciary.
In a letter signed by NBA President, Olumide Akpata which was sighted by Nigeria Today, the NBA said it noted with “utter dismay the unfortunate and totally unacceptable reaction of H.E. Engr. Dave Umahi to the judgment of the federal high court…”

Recall that while addressing newsmen at a press conference after the judgement on Tuesday, Umahi had said he felt “so sorry for the Judiciary”. He argued that “the Executive may have problems, the Legislature may have problems but the moment justice could be purchased, then this country is in trouble and the ruling this afternoon is a clear case that this country is in trouble.”
