As you can imagine, the ingenuity in song and video productions are not always the same. Some songs are accompanied by beautiful visuals while some lack in the visuals what they make up for in their audios. Some artistes, undoubtedly ace the two.

1. ONE TROUSER BY FALZ
The very first of Naija music videos on our list is One Trouser by Falz. This video came out only a few hours after the audio dropped. It was released on the 22nd of August, 2020.
Produced by Bizzouch and directed by Dammy Twitch, Falz mirrors the streets of Lagos in the video, demonstrating the drama and the noise that is always a part of the streets. He makes use of the popular Bode Thomas street to drive home his point.
The video was quick to garner views because of its relatable content and its generous amount of quality and colourful images.

2. ABULE BY PATORANKING
This video was released on the 28th of August, 2020. The audio was released on the 29th of July, 2020 and produced by DK under the Amari Records.

The video celebrates his neighbourhood Ebute Metta, and every other ghetto or slum in Lagos where men and women of calibre have defied the odds and made lemonades out of the melons life threw at them.
Abule reminds one of the early days of Naija music when Ajegunle came out strong. We consider it a deep reflection of a quintessential Lagos ghetto party. It cannot be replicated else where.

3. MONSTERS YOU MADE
This track by Burna Boy was released alongside many others during the release of his album. It featured American singer Chris Martin. The track was succeeded by a video on the 28th of August, 2020.
Produced by Leriq and directed by JM Productions, the music talks about the various injustices present in different parts of the world. The video saw Burna Boy as the head of a militant group controlling and directing his team to fight the numerous injustices and defeat evil.

4. WHAT TYPE OF DANCE BY DJ KAYWISE
Making number four on our list is “What Type Of Dance” by DJ Kaywise featuring Zlatan, Naira Marley, and Mayorkun.
The video was released on the 26th of August, 2020. The song was produced by Fresh VDM and the video was directed by Dammy Twitch.
From the title, the video shows us a particualr type of dance of no name and origin in particular. It is however related to the regualr legwork known to Nigerians.

5. GINGER ME BY REMA
Finally, number five on our list is “Ginger Me” by Rema. The video was released on the 25th of August, which is about 90 days after the audio was released.
The video is a rendition of love, dedication and commitment. The video was directed by UAX pictures under Mavin Records.
The video which sees Rema intimate with his “girlfriend” is a direct interpretation of the audio we’ve always listened to. At the end, wee see Rema and his “girlfriend” sitting on a swing just like the cover art of the track.
