EFCC gives the reason why Tinubu can’t be arrested yet
The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Abdulrasheed Bawa has disclosed that former Governor of Lagos and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, is under investigation.
Bawa said: “Investigation is ongoing. When you are investigating matters like this, they don’t end in a day. Thousands of investigations are going on, on a daily basis.”

Recall that the source of Tinubu’s wealth has been a major topic for more than a decade. He was accused of controlling the finances of Alpha Beta Consulting and for using the company to divert Lagos State funds.
A former managing director of the firm Dapo Apara accused the company, Tinubu, and Akin Doherty, a former commissioner in Lagos, of money laundering, fraud, tax evasion and sundry corrupt practices in a 40-page write he submitted to a Lagos high court in 2020.
Also Tinubu came under fire when bullion vans containing undisclosed amount of money were seen entering his Ikoyi resident in 2019.
