Matters such as this should be resolved diplomatically -Presidency
The presidency has made it clear that Nigeria will not engage in a street fight with Ghana over demolition of the Nigerian High Commission.
This was in response to several comments on the slackness of the Nigerian government on dealing on the action carried out by the Ghananians.
It was revealed by the Special Assistant to the president on Media and Publicity, Shehu Garba during an interview with the State House correspondents.
The House of Representatives had earlier faulted the decision of the Minister of the Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama as they only accepted an apology from the President of Ghana.
The House dismissed the decision saying that diplomatic relations should be negkected and Nigeria should retaliate against Ghana.
Shehu Garbe however told them that Nigeria would resolve the cse diplomatically and there was no need to resort to violence or street fight.
He also said that the President of Ghana had acted very wise by calling President Buhari to apologise for the conduct of Ghananians.
