#SLEEP: Avoid caffeinated drinks
You’d agree with me that sleeping is one activity which our body pertinently requires.
We all look forward to sleeping at night after the day’s stress. Even the busiest person wishes to catch some sleep at night in order to relax.
Sleeping might become difficult however in some cases; eating heavy meals before sleeping might chase your sleep away, strenuous exercises might also prevent you from sleeping because by then the rate at which your heart pumps blood increases and you’re forced to stay alert.
So, we might want to avoid these things before sleeping.

Getting quality sleep is one thing which most people are deprived of. Ypu can sleep for 10 hours and wake up still feeling tired and stressed and frustrated with yourself for some reasons like you were the cause.
There are some things we ned to stip doing and somw things we need to do just before we head to bed and here, we have gathered 5 simple things you should do to get quality sleep:
1. MEDITATE BEFORE GOING TO SLEEP
To think is one thing that every human can do, but to think effectively is something we need to train our minds to do as it is necessary for quality sleep.
Meditating before going to bed invloves taking time out to think about activities done during the day and to get a hold on yourself before you sleep. Are there some things you’ve failed to do during the day? Then make s strong resolve to carry them out the next day.
The fact that you probably have your problem laid out and solutions to some already figured out will help you get better sleep.
2. YOUR BED SHOULD BE IN THE BEST POSITION
Well, whenever I sleep without dusting those little particles off my bed I notice that I usually toss and turn until I decide to go through the tedious task of making the bed before I sleep.
It is most likely that you unintentionally got some sand from your feet to your bed during the day and then at that moment when you just want to lay down and sleep at night, you realise that you can’t just stay put.
The bottom line of this is that you should be as comfortable as ever as ever on your bed because I’m pretty sure noone wants to sleep for 6 hours and wake up feeling like they’ve not caught a 30-mins sleep!
3. AVOID CAFFEINATED DRINKS
It is best to not take caffeinated drinks like coffee before you sleep. In fact, ou should not take them in the evening because it would slow down your sleep rate with some percentage.
If at all you’d take any caffeinated drink, it should be in the morning just so you can feel bright and fresh.
Not just caffeinated drinks should be avoided, alcohol before bed should also be avoided.
4. REDUCE YOUR DAYTIME NAP
A close friend of mine naps for a very long time during the day. And when I mean he naps for long, I also mean he naps at any time of the day even 6:30p.m! and then he stays up all night or fall asleep very late eventually.
Night sleep is one activity that our body requires and it is quite different from daytime naps.
If you want to get quality sleep at night, you should consider controlling your naps. If at all you feel sleepy during the day, engage yourself in some sort of chase-sleep-away activity like strolling or doing a bit of exercise. It would help to keep you at alert.
5. BE COMFORTABLE ENOUGH
To sleep at night requires comfortabolity. I still don’t know the reason some peopl decide to go to bed with about 5 pieces of cloths on.
There is no way you’d get quality sleep when you’re uncomfortable. Same applies to your room and body temperature. Ever seen a sick person with a very high body temperature fall asleep peacefully? I doubt.
If you feel hot at night, take a shower or do something to make yourself cool. And try to feel at your best before you sleep, remove those tight clothes; your brassiere, your tight boxers and the likes and get on some comfy night clothes.
Have a good night rest everyone!
