Peter Obi promises to end insecurity in Nigeria if elected
Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential aspirant, has condemned the assassination of Victoria Chimtex, the Labour Party women leader killed by unknown gunmen in her home in Kaduna on Tuesday.
Obi took to his twitter handle on Tuesday night to condemn the killing of the women leader describing it as a huge loss to her immediate, extended family and to Labour Party.
Recall that Nigeria Today reported yesterday that the Labour Party women leader, Kaduna South Senatorial Zone, Victoria Chimtex, was brutally murdered in her home. Her husband also sustained gun injuries on his leg, but survived as he was rushed to the nearest hospital where he was receiving treatment. g
Obi pledges to end insecurity
The Labour Party flagbeaer further tok the occasion to reinstate his commitment to end terrorism in Nigeria. Mr Obi said his administration will not just take security as its priority but will make it the first point of priority immediately after resuming office.

Obi said, “I am shocked by the mindless killing of Mrs. Victoria Chintex, the Labour Party’s women leader in Kaura, Kaduna State, by yet to be identified gunmen. Her death is a huge loss to her immediate and extended family, and to our Labour Party. She lives on in our hearts.
“Her killing, and the loss of many innocent lives across the nation to gunmen and terrorists, are the reason why I must prioritize the war against insecurity as my first task in office. We must not allow the waste of human lives in Nigeria under any guise.
