Peace Buhari put for sale by a Lebanese man, Wael Jerro
A Nigerian lady, Peace Buhari who was put up for sale by a Lebanese man sometime in June has been rescued and is currently aboard an evacuation flight en-route Nigeria, alongside 29 other girls.
Also on the flight is another lady, Temitope who had been accused of murder and had been denied evacuation earlier.
Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM Abike Dabiri-Erewa announced this on Saturday in a tweet.
“29 Passengers just departed from Lebanon. And guess what? Temitope, who was left behind last time, accused of murder is on board. And so is Peace Buhari, the girl who was put on sale on FB and rescued by the Nigerian mission,” Abike Dabiri-Erewa tweeted.
According to Dabiri-Erewa, the Lebanese Ambassador to Nigeria ,HE Mr Houssam Diab, worked with the Nigerian mission in Lebanon to facilitate a free flight for the 29 girls .
Recall that Peace Buhari was trafficked and put for sale by a Lebanese man, Wael Jerro, sometime in June. She was eventually rescued and taken to the Nigerian Mission in Lebanon, days after the arrest of Mr Jerro.
