The Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo, has said that the candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, and his supporters, known as the ‘Obidient’, were no threat to APGA.
Soludo maintained that his allegiance lies with his party, APGA and its presidential candidate, Peter Umeadi. He further added that the Obedient Movement was an offshoot of the People’s Democratic Party, therefore, it’s in no way a threat to APGA, rather to PDP.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Political Matters, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, on Sunday, the Anambra governor claimed that APGA remained the third largest political party in the country.
The statement partly read, “APGA remains the third largest political party in Nigeria, considering the number of political offices it has won.

“APGA does not consider the wave of the ‘Obidient Movement’ as a threat towards achieving its set goals in 2023.
“The LP and the ‘Obidient Movement’ are offshoots of the PDP. Therefore, they pose a big threat to PDP, not APGA”.
The former CBN governor had won his governorship seat in the state under APGA.
We recall that a few days ago, reported that Soludo dropped a bomb on the presidential candidate of the Labour Party and his predecessor, Peter Obi, when he appeared on a national television, Arise TV and said that the purported investment made by Peter Obi while he was the governor of Anambra is worth next to nothing.
