Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe’s appointment takes effect on January 1, 2020
Fidelity Bank Plc on Monday named Mrs. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe as the new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer.
Mrs Oyeali-Ikpe will replace outgoing MD/CEO Nnamdi Okonkwo has been at the helm since January 2014.
The Bank in a notice to the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE and the general public said Onyeali-Ikpe takes effect from January 1, 2021.
“In compliance with the bank’s succession policy, the board has approved the appointment of Executive Director, Lagos, and South West Directorate, Onyeali-Ikpe as the MD/CEO designate to assume office with effect from January 1, 2021.

“The approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has been obtained for the appointment,” the Bank said in a statement signed by Company Secretary, Ezinwa Unuigboje.
The Bank also said its board had also approved the appointment of the current Chief Risk Officer of the Bank, Kevin Ugwuoke, as Executive Director/Chief Risk Officer, subject to CBN’s confirmation.
“Onyeali-Ikpe has over 30 years’ experience from Standard Chartered Bank Plc, Zenith Bank Plc, and Citizens International Bank Limited, where she held several management positions in Legal, Treasury, Investment Banking, Retail/Commercial Banking, and Corporate Banking,” the statement added.
