…2 more people die from COVID-19
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced the confirmation of more 555 fresh COVID-19 infections in the country.

This was disclosed on Sunday on the Twitter handle of the nation’s health agency.
It also recorded that 2 more people lost their lives to the virus.
The figures put the total confirmed cases at 40,532 as discharged cases are 17,374 and aggregate death toll hits 858.

Total Number of Confirmed Cases – 40,532
Total Number of Discharged cases – 17,374
Total Active Cases – 22,300
Total Deaths – 858
Total Tests Carried out – 262,579
The 555 new cases are reported from 17 states and Federal Capital Territory as Lagos has the highest number of infectons.
The statistics are Lagos (156), Kano (65), Ogun (57), Plateau (54), Oyo (53), Benue (43), FCT (30), Ondo (18), Kaduna (16), Akwa Ibom (13), Gombe (13), Rivers (12), Ekiti (9), Osun (8), Cross River (3), Borno (2) Edo (2) and Bayelsa (1).
