…COVID-19 claims 20 more lives
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has revealed the latest update on coronavirus (COVID-19) as the country records 604 new confirmed cases and 20 deaths.
This was disclosed in the official Twitter handle of the Centre as the total number of cases aggravated to 38,948.
As at Thursday, July 23, 2020; an aggregate of 38,948 cases have been confirmed, with 16,061 discharged cases and 833 deaths recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The figures in the update stand as:
Total cases confirmed: 38,948
Total active cases: 22,054
Total cases discharged: 16,061
Total deaths recorded: 833
Total sample tested: 251,893
The reported 604 new cases are compiled from 20 states and Federal Capital Territory comprising Lagos (203), Oyo (87), FCT (79), Edo (41), Osun (35), Ogun (24), Rivers (22), Kaduna (22), Akwa Ibom (20), Plateau (18), Delta (9), Ebonyi (9), Imo (8), Enugu (5), Kano (5), Cross River (5), Katsina (4), Nasarawa (3), Borno (2), Ekiti (2), Bauchi (1).
