…One more person has died in the latest cases
The increasing rate of Nigeria’s COVID-19 infections continues as Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 296 new confirmed cases in the country.
It was revealed on Thursday on its official Twitter handle.
According to the Centre, only 1 death recorded from the COVID-19 pandemic in the latest statistics making the fatalities hit 1,011.
In the latest figures, there are total 53,317 confirmed cases while the overall discharged cases are 40,726 and total deaths are put at 1,011.

The 296 new cases are reported from 16 states and Federal Capital Territory as Plateau takes the highest number of infections.
The statistics are given as: Plateau (85), Enugu (46), Oyo (31), Lagos (21), Rivers (20), FCT (15), Kaduna (13), Bauchi (12), Delta (11), Ekiti (11), Akwa Ibom (7), Ebonyi (6), Kwara (5), Ogun (4), Osun (4), Gombe (3), and Niger (2).
