…Naira Marley is one of latest celebrities to break COVID-19 lockdown rules
Coronavirus, called COVID-19 in short is a virus that has gradually grown from an epidemic into a pandemic. The virus saw the shutting down of basic activities across the globe.
With this shutting down of activities, there were also restraining orders on social gatherings and even religious gatherings.
However, some people, even celebrities have one way or the order decided to flout theses orders as they organise mini parties in their homes and gather people.
So far, two Nigerian celebrities have flouted this lockdown order as they organise events.
1. Naira Marley
Popular hip hop artiste Azeez Fashola known as Naira Marley just yesterday the 13th of June, 2020 hosted a concert at Abuja which saw the gathering of a lot of people. This is against the COVID-19 rule as gatherings of above 20 people are banned.
The artiste broke two of the COVID-19 lockdown rules, which is the ban on gatherings of above 20 people and interstate travels.
The popular singer however hosted a concert which was allegedly supposed to be a drive-in concert but the social distancing rules could not just be maintained as residents of Abuja trooped to the concert ground to see the artiste perform.
Nigerians are perplexed as to why Naira Marley should break the rules and still get away with it while Funke Akindele whose crime was even milder got arrested.
While some Nigerians think that Naira Marley should not be apprehended because what he organised was simply a drive-in concert ant the residents of Abuja decided to break the order, others are of the opinion that he must be taught a lesson.
Nigerians also wonder what the authorities and security personnel in Abuja were doing while this concert was going on:
