NCDC records 8 deaths
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 574 new cases of COVID-19 in 20 states and the Federal Capital Territory raising the total number of confirmed cases as of yesterday to 146,928.
NCDC report showed that eight more deaths were recorded bringing the number of casualties in the country to 1,761 while a total of 123,009 patients have been discharged since the pandemic started.
The report also showed that Kwara state had the highest number of registered cases for the day with 98 confirmed infected people followed by Lagos with 81 cases, Edo-59; Ondo-44; FCT- 41; Kano- 34; Ogun-33; Kaduna- 29; Osun- 28; Enugu- 23. Others include Rivers- 18; Delta-16; Akwa Ibom-15; Bauchi-12; Imo-10; Borno-8; Niger-8; Kebbi-7; Nasarawa-5; Gombe-3; Ekiti-2.

“Our discharges today include community recoveries in Oyo (1,198), Lagos (227), and Kwara State (53), managed in line with guidelines.” NCDC disclosed.
