Musa Wada insists November election was flawed
The People’s Democratic Party candidate in the Kogi State governorship election of November 16, 2019, Mr. Musa Wada has faulted the judgment of the election tribunal declared on Saturday.
He faulted the judgment in an exclusive interview with Channels Television later on Saturday.
Musa had filed a petition to challenge the election that installed the All Progressive Congress candidate, Mr Yahaya Bello as Kogi State Governor.
The election tribunal chairman, Justice Kashim Kaigama, in a judgment of two to one on Saturday, May 23, 2020 conveyed that the petitioner had failed to substantiate the claims of over-voting, massive thumb printing, voter intimidation, and other electoral malpractices.

The tribunal also awarded the cost of one million naira to be paid by the petitioners, PDP and Musa Wada to INEC, Yahaya Bello, and APC who are the defendants.
Wada, however, reacted that the dissenting judgment of Justice Ohimai Ovbiagele which nullified the election of Yahaya Bello and ordered fresh elections to be conducted in seven local government areas where the electoral malpractices occurred was a clear indication that the election was faulty.
He insisted that the tribunal majority judgment on Saturday was not a true representation of what transpired in the November 16, 2019, in Kogi State.
