To celebrate their 10 year anniversary, Mavin Records has hit fans with a banging new single culled from their upcoming all-star album. The new single, Won Da Mo, which translates to ‘he/she is recognized,’ is currently topping the chart in Nigeria and in Africa on Spotify.
Won Da Mo actually was released later than expected. Fans of the Mavin crew had expected the hit single to drop on the 4th of November, but was disappointed when the Mavin boss revealed a shift in plans.
The release had coincided with the tragic passing of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, who drowned on the 1st of November, 2022. The single was eventually released on November 9.
The Mavin boss announced in a twitter post that the “‘Mavin All Stars’ Won Da Mo release date has now been moved to Wednesday, 9th of November. The road still leads to the dynasty!!!” the tweet said.

However, it appears the delay in the release did not in any way dampen fans expectation of the song. This is probably due to the fact that the single packs some of the most talented artists in a single for the last decade.
The single features all the top stars in big music label including Don Jazzy, Rema, Crayon, Johnny Drille, Bayani, Boy Spyce, Ladipoe, and Magixxx.
Meanwhile, the Mavin Records Boss has told fans that the new single is a taste of what to expect in the upcoming compilation album.

Earlier this year, Mavin has teased fans with the release of their first off the album single titled, Overdoze which promptly took a multiverse dimension and dominated the Global chart for Afrobeats music for months. The song raked in incredible statistics with over 200 million streams and over 24 million views on YouTube so far.
Won Da Mo is another breath of minty fresh air and has received positive reviews from fans and critics as well. However, at press time, Won Da Mo has garnered over 95,000 views on YouTube in less than 48 hours of release.
The compilation album is due December 10.
