Lagos and Osun might go on a total lockdown if guidelines continue to be flouted
Lagos and Osun have threatened to go on a total lockdown again due to the increasing COVID-19 cases.
On Friday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced 684 fresh cases, which brings the total number of confirmed cases to 23,298.
Lagos had the highest number of infections and the state government have threatened to go on a total lockdown once again if residents continued to flout the lockdown guidelines such as the wearing of nose masks, social distancing and the likes.
The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi said at a media briefing that although the State has been able to balance the economy of the state with the health status of the public, it still would not hesitate to go on another lockdown if the residents continue to flout the orders.

Similarly, the Osun State Government has threatened to place another lockdown on the public as the cases continue to increase by the day.
The state Commissioner for Health, Dr Rafiu Isamotu has said that they also, will not hesitate to lock down the state again as they recorded 22 new cases on Frida after the 17 recorded on Thursday.
The increasing number of cases, the government said has not reached its peak yet and the cases might continue to rise in the next one to two months.
