The Chief Judge released criminals who have been in the centre since 2016
Lagos Chief Judge, Justice Kazeem Alogba has released 18 inmates of Kirikiri Medium Security Custodial Centre.
They were released based on orders received from President Muhammadu Buhari and Chief of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad.

The inmates were released in order for prisons to be decongested which is equally in a bid to curb the sopread of coronavirus.
The inmates who were released have been in the centre since 2016.
The event was tagged: “Correctional Centres Decongestion Exercise” and it was held at the J.I.C. Taylor Court House, Igbosere.
