The Labour Party Candidate was shot dead, his house set ablaze.
Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate has condemned the killing of yet another party member in Imo State.
He described the gruesome murder as disturbing.
The Labour Party (LP) candidate for the Onuimo State Constituency of Imo State, Christopher Eleghu, was reportedly shot dead by yet to be identified gunmen.

The Nation reports that Eleghu was killed Thursday night in his house.
Reports claimed that armed men set fire to the house and properties of the late politician who was popularly known as “WASCO” among his political associates.
“After killing the man, they burnt his house and properties. His corpse was found lying on the floor with deep wounds by the time residents of the community found him dead in the morning after the attack,” a source said.
Coming a couple of weeks after Chukwunonye Irouno, another candidate of LP in Okigwe zone of the State, died in mysterious circumstances, the killing of Eleghu is generating controversy across the state.

The Imo State Police Command is yet to release a statement on the incident
