…Sherrif has a brief meeting with the Chairman of the Caretaker Committee
The former Borno State Governor, Senator Ali Modu Sherrif has appeared on Thursday at the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.
Sherrif who called at the party office at about 4.15 pm headed straight to the office of the National Chairman, Caretaker Committee, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, where he had a brief meeting that took about 15 minutes.
There have been speculations that Sherrif is interested in the office of the national chairman of the ruling party.

All efforts by journalists to know the purpose of his visit to the party secretariat were futile as the former Governor rushed into his black G-wagon car and drove off the party Secretariat, and his host, the chairman of the caretaker committee, Governor Buni also left the Secretariat.
Sources in the office of the chairman of the caretaker committee disclosed that the duo left the office for a meeting at a private location.
The names of two former Bornu State governors, Ali Modu Sheriff and Senator Kashim Shetima as well as the former Lagos State military administrator, Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa are being pushed to jostle for the national chairmanship seat at the National Convention of party later in the year.
