Buhari insists Service Chiefs are not doing enough
On Thursday, President Muhammadu Buhari met with the Service Chiefs and warned that excuses will no longer be tolerated.
He asked them to do whatever is in their power to ensure that the security challenges in the country is put to an end.
Retired Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno said that the president has asked them to join hands with other security agencies in various parts of the country so as to bring insecurity to a halt.
President Buhari also decried the killings in Katsina and how hundreds have been left injured and many others displaced from their homes.
The meeting saw the attendance of notable top security officials from across the country.
The Chief of Defence Staff, the Chief of Air Staff, the Chief of Naval Staff, the Chief of Army Staff were all in attendance.
It is in the interest of Nigerians that these top officials have gathered and we cannot but hope that the issue of insecurity would be tackled headlong.
