Buhari in Maiduguri to appraise security situation in the northeast
President Muhammadu Buhari and some service chiefs arrived Maiduguri the Borno state capital on Thursday to appraise security situation in the northeast as well as to commission some projects.
The president who accompanied by some government officials arrived at Nigerian Air Force wing of the Maiduguri International Airport around 10am.

He was received by the Borno state governor, Babagana Zulum as well as other top government officials.

According to the state governor in a statement on Wednesday, the president is expected to appraise the security situation in the Northeast as well as commission some developmental projects executed by the state government which includes the first phase of 10,00 houses for the resettlement of IDPs and refugees
