…Seventeen candidates battle for the number one political seat in the State
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the list of names of the candidates vying for Ondo Governorship election exercise scheduled to hold on October 10.
In the list released on Friday which also made available on its Twitter handle, the electoral body enumerated the names of 17 gubernatorial candidates, their running mates alongside their political parties.
As earlier predicted, the contest for number seat in the state is between the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as they overshadow 15 other political parties.
Among the 17 political candidates contesting for the governorship position, APC candidate and incumbent Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu with his PDP contestant, Eyitayo Jegede can be obviously based on political clout and credentials.
