Jonathan appointed as chancellor of Cavendish University Uganda
The former President of the federal republic of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has been appointed as the Chancellor of Cavendish University Uganda (CUU).
This is not the first time the former leader will be given an international appointment. Jonathan was appointed the Economic Community of West African State special envoy and mediator to Mali. He was also appointed special envoy on crisis management by United Nations.
Confirming the appointment, the University wrote on Facebook; “Welcome aboard Goodluck Jonathan as you take over as the Chancellor of CUU. We look forward to this new era and achieving great things under your leadership. Success begins at Cavendish!”

Cavendish University Uganda which is one of the leading Private Universities in Africa began operation in 2008 and appointed former Zambian President, late Kenneth Kaunda as the Chancellor of the university.
CUU is affiliated with Cavendish College London, Cavendish University, Tanzania and Cavendish University, Zambia. Its first graduation ceremony held in November 2011.
The university has different campuses across the country including a campus in the capital city of Kampala.
