Ese Brume wins first medal for Nigeria at the Tokyo Olympics
Ese Brume has won Nigeria’s first medal at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics after winning a bronze medal in the women’s long jump.
Brume won the Bronze medal with a 6.97m jump. Germany’s Malaika Mihambo clinched the gold medal with a 7.00m jump while U.S.A’s Brittney Reese clinched the silver medal with 6.97m on count back.
This will be Nigeria’s first medal at the Olympics since 2008 and the third medal after Chioma Ajunwa’s won gold at the Atlanta ‘96 and Okagbare’s silver in 2008
