Environmental pollution causes more harm than you expected
According to studies in science, environmental pollution causes premature aging.
It also causes decreased in life span and brings out premature signs of aging such as wrinkles, spots, etc. And this is because the powerhouse of the cells releases very reactive oxygen due to some particular environmental pollutants. It is this reactive oxygen that damages the DNA and causes premature aging.

It has also been said that some of these pollutants might also lead to inflammation.

In this analysis, adults ranging from 50-65 years old were tested using their urine and blood and it eas discovered that those with higher levels of urinary copper and serum perfluorohexane sulfonic acid had decreased mitochondrial DNA content. Those with higher urinary copper and serum perflurooctanoic acid levels however, were linked with shorter telomeres.
This means that these environmental pollutions either results in premature aging or causes cancer.
