The Durban FilmMart Institute is pleased to announce the 30 projects that have been selected to be part of this year’s Durban FilmMart.

Under the theme of Revolution//Evolution – Changing The Narrative, the 13th DFM takes place from 22 – 31 July 2022 as both a virtual event and a 3-day physical event.

“Africa is rich with stories that the world is waiting to hear, as evidenced by the diversity of topics of this year’s selection of projects in development. We are delighted at the quality of projects coming through, reflecting the originality and ever-increasing professionalism of African filmmakers, and the selection includes an exciting mix of experienced veterans and new voices.” says Magdalene Reddy, General Manager of the DFMI. Reddy adds, “the Pitch and Finance Forum component of DFM provides a key platform for the filmmakers to engage with international and national broadcasters, sales agents, financiers, and producers for the necessary support and partnership to bring these projects to fruition.”
