NCDC announces 12 deaths
The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 708 new COVID-19 infections in 20 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) raising the number of confirmed cases in the country to 157,671.
The health agency revealed on its official Twitter account that 136,335 people have been discharged so far while in the last 24 hours 12 deaths were recorded as a result of complications from the disease. The number of fatalities so far now 1,951.
NCDC reported that Adamawa state had the highest number of infected with 180 confirmed cases followed by Lagos (141); Ondo (60); Anambra-54 Rivers-41 Taraba-33 Edo-30 Abia-22 Kaduna-22; and the FCT with 21 cases.
