COVID-19: Nigeria’s total number of discharged cases hit 120,838
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has registered a drop in the number of COVID-19 infections as it recorded 520 new cases on Sunday from 1,143 on Saturday bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 146,184.
The centre disclosed this via its official Twitter account on Sunday.
According to the health agency, the country recorded five deaths in the last 24 hours raising the total number of death to 1,752. The 520 new cases were from 18 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The NCDC said Ondo state had the highest number of recorded cases with 120 infections followed by Borno with 41 cases; Ebonyi, 37; Benue, 33; Plateau, 30; FCT, 29; Nasarawa, 25; Ogun, 25; Edo, 24; Osun, 24; Katsina, 22; Kaduna, 21; Niger, 20; Kwara, 14; Ekiti, 13; Yobe, 10; Oyo, 4; Bayelsa, 1; Jigawa, 1.
Also, it disclosed that over 439 people were discharged on Sunday raising the total number of discharged to 120,838.
