Fresh cases of COVID-19 recorded in Lagos and Rivers state
Report by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) revealed that Nigeria recorded 29 new cases of COVID-19 in two states.
According to the report released via its official Twitter handle on Wednesday morning the cases were recorded in Lagos and Rivers States.
Lagos state reported 18 new cases, while Rivers State had 11 new cases.
The health agency disclosed that 165,807 people have tested positive to the virus so far while 156,420 people have been treated and discharged as at May 18.
NCDC also revealed that no death was recorded in the last 24 hours as number of fatalities remained at 2,067.
It stated that “Today’s report includes 0 case from Plateau, Nasarawa, Kaduna, Sokoto, Ogun, Osun, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti, and Imo States while FCT is yet to report.
