…COVID-19 kills 6 more people in Nigeria
In Nigeria, 423 more people have been confirmed with coronavirus (COVID-19) infections in the latest statistics revealed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
It was disclosed on the official Twitter handle of the nation’s health agency on Tuesday as 6 more people lost their lives to the pandemic.

The latest update made the amassed confirmed cases to be 47,290.
As at Tuesday, August11, 2020, an aggregate of 47,290 cases have been confirmed, with 33,609 discharged cases and 956 deaths recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The figures in the update stand as:
- Total cases confirmed: 47,290
- Total active cases: 12,725
- Total cases discharged: 33,609
- Total deaths recorded: 956
- Total sample tested: 319,851
The reported 423 new cases are compiled from 21 states and Federal Capital Territory comprising with Lagos having the highest number.
The statistics are given as: Lagos (117), FCT (40), Ondo (35), Rivers (28), Osun (24), Benue (21), Abia (19), Ogun (19), Ebonyi (18), Delta (17), Kwara (17), Kaduna (15), Anambra (14), Ekiti (11), Kano (9), Imo (6), Gombe (4), Oyo (3), Taraba (3), Bauchi (1), Edo (1) and Nasarawa (1).
