Catholic church converts Adoration ministry to chaplaincy
The Catholic Church has banned Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministries Enugu Nigeria (AMEN) Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka from commenting on partisan politics.
According to the letter to Mbaka dated June 3 which contains the diocesan directives and guidelines for the conduct of the adoration ministry Catholic bishop of Enugu Diocese, Callistus Onaga, converted the adoration ministry to chaplaincy.

Although Mbaka will still oversee the activities of the ministry as its spiritual director, making it chaplaincy brings it under the control of the Enugu diocese and gives the bishop the power to appoint a chaplain to oversee its operations.

The letter stated that “There shall be no partisan politics either by way of active engagement or by prophetic naming of candidates for position of power,” he said.
The ban is coming after the controversy surrounding the recent disappearance and appearance of the fiery Catholic Priest, which also led to the shutdown of his Adoration Ministry.
