…Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Prof. Wole Soyinka, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu make list of names conferred with train stations
Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has named railway stations after living and late prominent Nigerians in the country.
This new development was disclosed on Monday by the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.
Recall that Nigeria Today News had reported that President Buhari named the railway station at Agbor after the immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan.

While confirming the decision of the president, the Special Assistant to President Buhari on digital/new media, Tolu Ogunlesi on Monday tweeted that Apapa station was named after the APC National Leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Agege station after the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola.
Other figures conferred with train station names are Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (Kajola Station), former Lagos State Governor, Lateef Jakande (Agbado Station), and late Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti (Papalanto Station).
Also, Abeokuta station was named after the Literary Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka, Omi-Adio Station after late Ladoke Akintola, Ibadan station after late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Ebute Metta station after late Mobolaji Johnson, Olodo station after Olusegun Osoba and Operations Control Centre after Former Vice-President Alex Ekwueme.
