Remaining abducted college of forestry students regain freedom
The remaining 27 kidnapped students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, Kaduna State have regained freedom.
According to the Chairman of the Parents’ Committee Mr. Abdullahi Usman, who confirmed the release of the students to Channels Television on Wednesday in Kaduna, he explained that the victims were released some minutes past 4 pm around the Kidanda area in Giwa Local Government Area of the state, and were on their way back to the state capital.
Usman, however, refused to disclose the amount paid as ransom to the bandits for the release of the students.
The release was also reportedly facilitated by the Sheikh Ahmed Gumi dialogue committee with support from former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
It would be recalled that the freed students are the remaining 37 students who were abducted from the school recently by bandits.
