…Arsenal beat Manchester City 2 – 0 at Wembley to book their place for Emirates FA Cup final
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang got a brace in 19 and 71 minutes to beat Manchester City in first semi-final game on Saturday and helped Arsenal secure their place for the Emirates FA Cup at Wembley Stadium.
It was a brilliant effort from the 31-year old Gabon international, Aubameyang leading Arsenal attack with Alexdanre Lacazette and Nicolas Pepe to earn a deservedly victory at the empty Wembley Stadium.

Manchester City came strong from the start of the game but Arsenal fortified their defence and stood their ground soaking the Citizens’ pressures until 19 minutes when Aubameyang fired home a short with all his strength at a far post from a cross by Pepe.

Pep Guardiola’s side looked dangerous almost throughout the game, with most of squandered chances especially from Raheem Sterling, thereby strengthening the Gunners’ ego for Aubameyang to get a solo run ending with a superb finish in 71 minutes.

Arsenal’s victory meant a massive boost for Mikel Arteta, who left Ethiad as assistant to Guardiola in December to manage the North London club, and might be on his way to land a major trophy, having shown superiority earlier on Wednesday against Liverpool in the EPL.
Manchester United and Chelsea will face each other in the second FA Cup semi final game on Sunday, and the winner meets Arsenal for the final.
