Atiku Abubakar has been attacked again, this time in Gombe state.
Barely two weeks after hoodlums attacked the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, in Borno state, during a presidential campaign, the PDP candidate was involved in another hoodlum attack on Monday.
Atiku was in Gombe for his presidential campaign which took place at the Pantami Stadium. Reports is that at least three persons sustained varying degrees of injuries when a local gang known as the Kalare Boys swooped in on unsuspecting party supporters leaving the stadium.
The hoodlums who were armed with cutlasses attacked three cars, a bus, and a Keke NAPEP conveying party supporters along Pantami Stadium Road and injured at least three persons.

The attack happened right after Atiku had left the stadium through a different gate. However, the police were quickly dispatched to provide security for party supporters who were stranded at the stadium waiting for peace and order to be restored.
When contacted, the PDP Publicity Secretary in the state, Usman Muritala, said he was not aware since he was not included in the campaign planning.
“I was not on the podium and was only there as an official of the party so I sat like every other person to watch the whole show. There is a division in the party, a very big one,” he said.
