…Asari Dokubo calls Akpabio a mere pickpocket comparing the insignificance of the N81 billion misappropriated to what looters in this country carted away
A former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo has lent his voice on the ongoing alleged fraudulent case of N81 billion in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) by saying the amount is insignificant compared to what is being stolen by other regions of the country.
In a video released by the former leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force, Dokubo pointed at the allegations against the suspended Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) acting chairman, Ibrahim Magu and the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, saying that the duo have mismanaged more funds than that of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the NDDC.
Recall that the misappropriation of funds in the NDDC has involved Minister of the Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, and the Chairman of the IMC, Prof. Daniel Pondei in which both have been invited by the federal lawmakers for investigation.
“We are talking about N81 billion being pick-pocketed from Niger Delta while the bulk of our money, our resources are being carted away and we are not talking.
“They want me to run after pickpocketers and leave armed robbers that are coming into my house. When they talk about Akpabio, tell them about Malami, When talking about Joy, tell them about Sadiya, when talking about any senator, tell them about Magu,” Dokubo said in the video.
