Two people allegedly killed, Igboho’s wife abducted
In the early hours of Thursday, suspected gunmen attacked the home of Yoruba Nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo better known as Sunday Igboho in Soka area of Ibadan allegedly kidnapping his wife and several others.
This is coming less than 72 hours to the planned Yoruba nation rally in Lagos.
According to his spokesperson, Olayomi Koiki the armed gunmen were dressed in military uniform and the attack happened around 1am.
He also alleged that two people were killed in the attack and their corpses were carried away by the gunmen.

Sunday Igboho allegedly escaped.

Reacting to the news, the leader of Yoruba self-determination Groups, Ilana Omo Oodua, Professor Banji Akintoye in a statement by his Communications Manager, Mr. Maxwell Adeleye he alleged that the Nigerian Army was behind the attacks.
He disclosed that the gunmen were clad in military uniforms and some of them spoke ‘french’.

Akintoye also revealed that Mr. Igboho’s wife was also abducted by the attackers.
“The Assailants spoke French Language fluently. Seven people were killed by the attackers, with their corpses taken away. Scores of people, including the Wife of Chief Ighoho, were also taken away by the Gunmen.” He said.
Meanwhile, the Yoruba nation group has stated that its planned Mega rally on July 3rd will go ahead as planned despite the attack.
