…Suspected Fulani herdsmen attack Gora Gan village in Kaduna
Suspected Fulani herdsmen have killed 11 people and injured several others in an attack launched at Gora Gan village of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The village came under siege around 7:00 pm on Monday as suspected Fulani militias bombarded the community as they shot sporadically, maimed the inhabitants and burned properties.
It was security operatives that came to secure the village and rescued wounded people into an undisclosed hospital at Zonkwa.
A clergyman and Vice Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Zonkwa, Pastor Isaac Ango Makara confirmed the gory incidence and appealed to the governments both at federal and state levels to intervene in securing the lives and property of the villagers.

The attack has also led to people fleeing the community to neighbouring settlements in search of safety and security. It was also reported that the number of Internally Displaced Persons (IPDs) has increased resulting from the assault.
While reacting to the attack, Secretary of the Mercy IDP, Mr. Ezekiel James said that Mercy camp which has 559 IDPs need relief resources from government, organisations and generous individuals to help comfort the people.
