Meet new First Bank Chairman, Tunde Hassan-Odukale
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Thursday approved the appointment of Tunde Hassan-Odukale as the Chairman of First Bank of Nigeria after a major shake-up in the board of the Bank.
He succeeded Ibukun Awosika. Here are 10 things about the new chairman:
Tunde Hassan-Odukale succeeded his brother Oye Hassan-Odukale in January 2020 to become the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer Leadway assurance company limited.
His father Olusola Hassan-Odukale is the founder of Leadway Assurance Company Limited.

He is a graduate of the University of London and City University, London.
He holds a Bachelor Degree in Pure Mathematics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Actuarial Science.

Hassan-Odukale is a member of the Royal Society of Mathematics, the Institute of Actuaries and the Institute of Directors.

He is an alumnus of the Lagos, London, Harvard and Stanford Business Schools.
Tunde is on the board of directors of various blue-chip companies, which includes First Bank of Nigeria Limited and Digital Jewels Limited, Stanbic Bank Limited, Total Health Trust Limited and other Leadway Assurance Subsidiaries
Mr. Tunde Hassan-Odukale has a strong bias for Information Technology and he is the head of the Leadway Assurance Strategic IT planning committee.
