car wash operator arrested for killing his neighbour

While you wonder if this is a case of murder or manslaughter, please learn to control your temper no matter the provocation.

Sheriff Balogun and his late neighbour Peter Elebo lived in the same compound at No 32 Ola street, Itire Lagos.

On Saturday, January 11, they had an argument about when to close their compound gate.

Sheriff Balogun pushed down Peter Elebo who started vomiting blood and died on the spot.

The daughter of the deceased, Faith Elebo, quickly reported the matter at Itire Police station and immediately, homicide detectives led by the DPO Itire, SP Barkfur Kromkyes visited the scene.

The corpse of the deceased person was evacuated to the mortuary for autopsy while 35-year-old Sheriff, now branded “the suspect” was arrested.

He has since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba for discreet investigation and prosecution.

It does not seem like the family of the deceased would be backing down on seeing Sheriff prosecuted for the death of their father.

It is no longer important who was right or wrong in the fight because a life has been lost.
